In the end… A Decaf Moment

In the end there can be only one desire…
that the Will of God is done
In the end there can be only one prayer…
that the Will of God may be done
In the end there is only one activity possible…
that the Will of God is done…
and that is Love;
Love as our desire…
Love as our prayer…
Love as our activity…
Not the human love that so often seeks its own fulfilment first,
fears and clings to attachment…
But the Love that burns,
purifies,
sunders,
frees,
roars,
whispers,
breathes,
exhausts,
stills,
and even,
dies,
for the other,
without asking anything in return…
this is the Love
that exists beyond love
the love accessed only
through
the piercing of the heart
by Divine Compassion
in the work of
meditation
with the grace
of
Contemplation,
as,
in each moment,
with each breath,
it surrenders itself
to the fire
of
Divine Love
and there
is
transformed
and,
becomes
Love.
